Singers of the Teatro alla Scala Academy and Orquestra Sinfonica de Heliopolis in concert in Sao Paulo

The solemn opening ceremony of the 43rd Paulista Radiology Day (JPR ), which was held in São Paulo in the first week of May, was enriched by a concert sponsored by the foundation: Ludimilla Bauerfeldt and Jaeyoon Jung, young soprano and tenor of the Course for opera Singers of the Teatro alla Scala Academy. They performed a famous and fascinanting all-Italian opera programme, accompanied by the Orquestra Sinfonica de Heliopolis conducted by Maestro Edilson Ventureli.

The orchestra of the Baccarelli Institute is made up of young students from the favelas of the suburbs of Sao Paulo, areas characterized by decline, petty crime and the lack of basic infrastructures. In this scenario the orchestra De Heliopolis encourages the possibility of social redemption through the knowledge and practice of music.

JPR , the annual conference organized by the Radiological and Diagnostic Imaging Society of Sao Paulo (SPR), is considered the most important event on this topic in Latin America. The concert won great appreciation from the audience, made up of institutions, radiologists, and professionals from the sector.
