To celebrate an important anniversary, the 150 years of Italian Unification, the Foundation is taking part in the rich programme of initiatives planned, offering in Italy and abroad important opportunities for remembering the historical, political and artistic phases that together created the identity of the Bel Paese. In the United States, the country which more than others guided the world political stage in past decades and to which Italy is linked by ties of profound friendship, the Foundation supported the exhibition “Venice: Canaletto and his rivals” at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, dedicated to one of the most interesting periods in Italian painting. The United States embassy in Washington also hosted a concert of official celebrations for Italian Unification, of which the Foundation is Institutional Partner.
