Bracco Foundation Meets cycle 2017 – Travels in freedom in classical music
18.02.2017 - 31.12.2017
In 2017 Bracco Foundation continues the cycle of meetings in collaboration with La Scala Theatre Academy dedicated to classical music. The three encounters were conducted by Maestro Fabio Sartorelli, lecturer in the history of music at the “G. Verdi” Conservatory in Como and lecturer in guide to listening at the La Scala Theatre Academy in Milan.
In the second edition the appointments, aimed at a young public of enthusiasts and others, propose an exploration of music, opera and direction, ranging from Mozart to Pacini with a final look at the direction of operas:
"E se non ho chi m'oda, parlo d'amor con me!" W. A. Mozart The Marriage of Figaro and the Search for Happiness – May 8, 2017 6 PM
“Dammi il braccio, mia piccina..." Giacomo Puccini and La Boèhme - June 8, 2017 6 PM
“Opera and directing: joy or pain?” September 20, 2017 6 PM
The aim of this cycle is to bring the nonspecialist public closer to classical music, promoting its universal value and modern relevance, while surprising the more expert audience with an original and anecdotal approach.
The meetings will be held at the Palazzo Visconti Teatrino in via Cino del Duca 8, Milan, headquarters of the Bracco Foundation. The Teatrino is open to the public for the meetings and talks that the foundation organises as part of the multi-year cycle “Bracco Foundation meets”.
