- Bracco Foundation backs opening of Palazzo Marino to the public
2026 - in progress
Fondazione Bracco, the Bracco Foundation, has entered into a partnership with the Municipality of Milan to promote the city’s historical, artistic, and civic heritage, and make it more accessible to residents and visitors alike.
The partnership revolves around Palazzo Marino, a building replete with history and art that has become a symbol of the institutional life and collective identity of Milan. Historically a private residence, the building today serves as the heart of the government of the city. Through a programme of guided tours sponsored by the Bracco Foundation, the building has been opened for public visits that explore its most significant rooms and tell the story of its architectural development, artistic ornament and pivotal role in the history of the city.
The Bracco-backed initiative aims at:
- facilitating visits to the city’s historical and artistic heritage;
- strengthening the bonds between the citizens of Milan and their institutions;
- spreading knowledge about the history and identity of Milan;
- encouraging people to take active and conscious part in the cultural life of the city.
The partnership is part of a broader commitment of the Bracco Foundation to celebrating and promoting the historical and artistic heritage of Milan by supporting projects favouring public engagement and accessibility. Inspired by the belief that knowledge drives development, innovation, and collective growth, the Foundation supports initiatives that strengthen the bond between citizens and institutions with a view to deepening the public’s understanding of the city's history and identity and thus contributing to the formation of a better informed and more cohesive community.
