USA tour with La Scala Theatre Academy

It is the eve of the first American trip for La Scala Theatre Academy, which Bracco Foundation will accompany to the USA at the start of December to Chicago and Washington, to celebrate the Year of Italian Culture in the United States.

The young soloists and musicians of the Academy Orchestra will cross the ocean led by maestro Daniele Rustioni, born in 1983: one of the most successful conductors of his generation. A group of young talents, ready to perform first in Chicago and then, on December 4, before an audience at the Strathmore Music Center in Bethesda (Washington) and win over spectators with a repertoire that is a tribute to the Italian opera heritage. The program includes overtures and arias from the best-known operas of Gioacchino Rossini, Gaetano Donizetti, Giuseppe Verdi and Giacomo Puccini, with an incursion into film music: a symphonic interpretation of the soundtrack by Nino Rota for Fellini’s film 'La strada'.

The first American tour of La Scala Academy is promoted and organised thanks to the support of Bracco Foundation, for two years Main Partner of the Academy.

The December 4 performance will be filmed by the cameras of SKY Classica, which has recently included in its programming the weekly“Talenti!”, A documentary in 38 episodes dedicated to the young students of the Academy.
