“Life as a scientist” exhibition in Mexico City

On February 12, 2022 the exhibition “A life as a scientist”, realized by Bracco Foundation to highlight female expertise in sectors still perceived as male dominated, inaugurates in Mexico City at the Italian Cultural Institute, in partnership with Italian Embassy.

The exhibition, hosted in several cities in Italy and abroad and now supported by the Mexican Radiological Society, has been organized during the National Congress of the Mexican Radiology Society.

The series of 20 portraits of Italian scientists, by the famous photographer Gerald Bruneau, was conceived and implemented by Bracco Foundation to help overcome prejudices in scientific practice which the collective imagination still views, incorrectly, as strictly masculine.

The exhibit is part of the “100 women against streotypes” (#100esperte), promoted by the Pavia Observatory, the GiULiA Association and Bracco Foundation, with the support of the Commissione Europea, Rappresentanza in Italia.

The exhibition will be open until March 8, 2022, International Women's Day.
