The photographic exhibition “All the hours in the world”, staged by Bracco Foundation and Associazione La Rotonda,
Type: Science & social
Bracco Foundation, Fondazione Sodalitas and the research laboratory “Percorsi di secondo welfare” have carried out research to map corporate foundations in Italy and reveal their main characteristics and operating methods. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Bracco Foundation and the municipality of Palermo organised in collaboration with Nesta Italia the Second National Conference on city suburbs “Ten, one hundred, a thousand Centres” in key sites in the city of Palermo (June 14, 2019).
To combat the growing spread of sexually transmitted diseases or infections (STD), due above all to disinformation, Bracco Foundation in collaboration with the CDI – Centro Diagnostico Italiano is starting in 2019 a prevention project in the city of Milan aimed at secondary schools, to encourage the adoption of responsible behaviour.
The First Conference on City Suburbs
The first conference on city suburbs, promoted by Bracco Foundation and the Municipality of Milan in collaboration with Fondazione Cariplo and Sviluppo Chimica, has been held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 9:30 AM to 4 PM at the Centro Congressi Fondazione Cariplo (via Romagnosi 8, Milan).
Baranzate is a peculiar town with distinctive elements in the make up of its social fabric: it is the Italian town with the second highest concentration of resident immigrants (33% of the 11,000 population) representing 72 nationalities, concentrated in the Gorizia quarter. In this stratified social context there are some significant shortcomings in resources and services, which help make it a difficult suburban territory. Baranzate has an urgent need for integrated interventions to guarantee the younger part of the population access to resources useful for growth. Consider that 36% of families with children under six have one or more factors of social vulnerability, 40 families among those using services for infancy are in relative poverty and six are in absolute poverty.
Several research studies on women in the news media show that women are rarely called in as experts. Those who explain and interpret the world are almost always men: in 76% of cases, according to national research by the Global Media Monitoring Project 2020.
Corporate Foundations for young people
The economic crisis has highlighted the vulnerability of young people in the Italian labour market, swelling the ranks of the Neet generation and worsening employment and career opportunities even for highly qualified young people.
The initiative intends to demonstrate how, thanks to “soft instruments” based on collaboration between local players and communities, you can create genuine integration with the regeneration of the area in mind.
Milan’s Central Station on the 30th of June witnessed the presentation of a new project, supported by the Bracco Foundation, “PAESE DELLA SERA”: the new free fortnightly magazine dedicated to social issues, distributed on Italo trains on the Milan – Naples route.
