The “Diana Bracco Award for Women Art Entrepreneurs” with Artissima

On the occasion of the thirtieth edition of the Artissima Art Fair, the Bracco Foundation and the Roberto de Silva and Diana Bracco Foundation of Milan have jointly organized the "Diana Bracco Award for Women Art Entrepreneurs".

The Award honours gallery owners for combining business and cultural acumen in a way that enables them to flourish commercially while promoting and supporting young artists.

An illustrious panel of judges will select an emerging female gallery operator (of any nationality but with at least one gallery open in Italy) with a demonstratively strong attachment to scientific research and artistic quality. The winner will receive her award at the thirtieth edition of the Artissima Art Fair of Turin on 3-5 November 2023.

The winner will receive a cash prize of 10,000 euros to fund her model of business in the contemporary art world, so that she may inspire new generations of Italian and international gallery owners.

The Award is consistent with the Bracco Foundation's commitment to recognizing and celebrating women whose success depends on their exceptional skills and merit. It is part of a broader review being conducted with the art journal, Il Giornale dell' Arte, which, in a section dedicated to women business leaders in the world of art, has published five excellent interviews with as many female gallery owners.

Artissima is the leading fair of contemporary art in Italy. Founded in 1994, the fair is notable for its presence on international markets and for its strong orientation towards experimentation and research.
