Meeting “The other half of hope. The role of women in the Church”
On Wednesday 10 December 2025, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano is hosting a training course for journalists that is open to the public titled “L’altra metà della speranza. Il ruolo della donna nella Chiesa [The other half of hope. The role of women in the Church]. The event will explore the theme of female leadership in faith communities and reflect on future perspectives for the presence of women in religious institutions.
The event, organized to coincide with theJubilee Year dedicated to Hope, was developed in connection with #100esperte, a project celebrating high-achieving women #100esperte promoted by the GiULiA Association and the Pavia Observatory with Bracco Foundation, in collaboration with ALMED (a school of specialization attached to Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore),, the Association of Journalists of Lombardy, and the Committee for Equal Opportunities of Università Cattolica..
The goal of the event is to foster pluralistic and interdisciplinary discourse through testimonials, analysis, and dialogue among experts of both sexes on the subject of the contribution of women to the renewal of the Catholic Church and to various religious traditions. It seeks to promote authoritative voices in fields where women are still underrepresented.
