Another fine victory by one of our Diventerò students: Francesco Ria

The Centro Diagnostico Italiano has presented its candidature in a regional competition for initiatives aimed at improving health documentation, with a project entitled “Monitoring ionising radiation doses”, which earned second place in the “Patient safety” category.

Francesco Ria was able to take part, thanks to the Bracco Foundation progettoDiventerò scholarship, in the project promoted by the Centro Diagnostico Italiano, which was designed to monitor ionising radiation in diagnostic examinations with the aim of providing patients with a “personal dosage record”.

The calculation application developed is a useful tool in research into reducing the overall dose of radiation, a general aim in radiology.

On December 2, 2014 the project leader Dr. Sergio Papa, together with Francesco and the rest of the team, presented the project during a public meeting in the headquarters of the Lombardy Region.
